How's it going everyone Elgin estacio Here with flightpath.com now in this Video I want to talk to you more about The user experience and some things you Might want to know after flying the Avada for the past few weeks and I'm not Going to go to full specs in this video That was more from my review video so if You guys haven't seen that one make sure To check the link above as well as Down Below in the video description now for Those that are looking at getting into Fpv or just drones in general and you Guys are starting to look at the Avada As possibly your first drone the great Thing about the Avada is that it's Coming from a long well trusted platform From DJI and the great thing with DJI is That once you fly one of their drones And you get used to the menu system how The UI is in the app all the other ones Are very very similar when it comes to The app the software so the one thing That's great about DJI and and the Avada Is the fact that it's coming from that Well trusted platform from DJI but if You are completely new to this space There are going to be more steps a few More steps you're going to need to know Compared to something like setting up a Mini or a mavic now one of the extra Steps you need to do is really just Getting used to linking a lot of these Remotes to the Drone for instance if you

Buy a mini or a mavic they'll normally Come out of the box ready to go you'll Have remote control and a drone it's Ready to go you can start it all up However here you have to actually get The goggles powered up through an External battery so that's something you Kind of have to get used to doing Hooking it up through a cord as well as Using a motion controller to control the Drone which is a little bit different And also if you don't have the remote Control this is an accessory you have to Buy this separately and when you buy This you're going to need to link this To the Drone Now Lincoln process a lot of stuff is Pretty straightforward I'm gonna have a Full setup video coming out for the Avada but just know if you are new to This there are a couple extra steps You're going to need to take compared to Something like the mini or the mavic now One of the biggest changes with the Avada is the size the aggressive look of It the sound the propellers which do not Have any prop guards on them also the Startup sound and the way this thing Spools up and in sport mode this thing Can scream at you when flying by [Applause] Foreign ER I think a lot of people were excited Because it's a smaller package it feels

Less intimidating we do have guards here So that if you are flying this thing Indoors or if you're flying fpv getting Used to fpv for the first time you know You have at least some safety bumpers Here if you're flying it around people Or around objects on my first and second Pack I was able to confidently fly Through some areas around trees around The fence around light posts and it felt Like a completely different experience Compared to this one next thing I want To talk about is the new goggles and I Actually really really like this mainly Because of this right here this size is A huge difference especially when you're Trying to just get out there pack your Bag as light as possible these new Goggles right here about half the size Of the original ones we now don't have These antennas sticking out here because When you try to pack this away you never Know what to do and how to pack it I Want to leave the antennas on I don't Want them to get busted which means you Want to take them off where do we store Them now with the new goggles not only Is it about half the size here you also Have these antennas that fold down for Easy Transport also when it comes to the New goggles I really like the touch pad Here on the right side compared to the Buttons at first I thought I'd really Miss it because normally I like analog

Buttons I like the 5D buns and also Having those physical buttons that you Can grab here at the top of the goggles And after a while I kind of got used to It because it's pretty intuitive just Like most of the UI you could swipe from Left to right you could swipe from right To left also if you want to go back you Just press it with two fingers if you Want to select something in the menu Just press with one pretty easy to do Because while you're up there flying You're just really swiping here on the Side the one thing that's great about The Avada as well as all the other DJI Drones is that they do have return to Home function which means if you're out There flying and you have a really weak Signal or something were to disconnect Lost reception between the remote and The Drone it does have that rth return To home feature which all the other DJI Drones have but it's great to see that Also on an fpv drone the one thing I Really like which they introduced on the First fpv drone is that they do have That little H in the goggles that shows You whatever Direction you're pointing At that little H moves around and it Shows you where your home point is that H is something you're always going to Look for especially when you're down on Your battery and you need to get back Home you'd only just kind of turn the

Drone around look for the little home Point look for the h and start flying Your way back to it next we'll talk About transmission that connection Between your drone and the remote Control now for me because I don't fly Fpv all the time I normally try to keep My distance fairly close within a few Hundred feet mainly because I just I'm Trying to stay within my comfort level I'll normally stay pretty close but the Great thing about this system right here Is that you have a crystal clear 1080p Feed back to the goggles that's also one Of the blockers that I would say when I Started looking at fpv before and you Had that analog feed coming from Something like you know the Aki sync With the Mavericks and The Minis and Going back to the the analog just wasn't As exciting and enticing to want to do Because I feel like you're kind of going Back now you get that same experience as Though you're flying a mini or a mavic But you have that Clarity that HD Quality coming through the goggles now While you don't have sensors all the way Around like some of the other drones That DJI offers these bottom sensors are Pretty key because it does sense the Distance away from the ground to the Drone and I found that really important For me as a less experienced fpv pilot Because gauging depth and height when

You're flying through goggles is Definitely different than just flying From a regular remote control especially When you're flying low to an area that Has some elevation on a hillside or Things like that you're now able to see How close you're getting to the ground So if you need to pull up you're able to See that number change at the very Bottom of your goggles now when it comes To battery life DJI is rating these Batteries to be about 18 to 19 minutes That's of course in the controlled Environment but based on my experience When I first started flying the Drone I Was normally in pretty much a chill mode I was in normal or sport mode kind of Cruising around and when I I was doing That I would normally get around 13 to 14 minutes and then once I got a little Bit more comfortable I would be more in Sport mode as well as a Limited manual Pretty comfortably you should be able to Get around 11 12 13 minutes or so of Flight time depending on how hard you're Pushing a drone so one thing that's Great about these batteries too just Like dji's other ones these are all Smart batteries so you don't have to Deal with the fpv batteries as far as Balancing them how to charge them when To charge them all of DJI batteries are Pretty much just plug and play so you Don't have to cater to them as much as

You would a standard fpv drone now I did Talk about this next thing in my review Video but I do want to talk about it Here too and one of the things that was Pretty annoying as far as my experience Using the Drone was the way you could Get to the USBC and the micro SD card I Wouldn't think it's that much of a big Deal but the thing is you have internal Storage which means the only way you Could get that memory off of it is to Always open this up and plug in your Cable which kind of is a weird thing in This area I'd be okay if it was just Like like the SD card in there and you Have the USBC Port separate that way at Least now if I needed to pull anything Off it'd be easy to plug in and I can Pull off both internal and the SD card From that plug one thing I really like About the new battery for the goggles is That does have this clip here so that Now it is attached to it so if you drop This on the ground or try to drop it on The ground it now will not disconnect Like the previous one did but when I Tried to use it on my goggles here I Realized that the port the cord now Doesn't fit into the old goggles so I Really wish I just kept it the same that Way you're able to easily swap these out And use the same core use the same Battery plug it into the other one but The port now is smaller or the cord is

Smaller for the new ones compared to the Other ones so you now still have to go Back and use the old cord I know a lot Of people were thinking that you would Get a remote control but the remote Control is actually sold separately as An accessory so if you do want unlock The most potential out of your drone you Are going to need to pick up the remote Control I kind of wish that DJI just Made a package deal with this so maybe There's one package with these right Here which they already do have and then Maybe a separate one with these right Here or throw in all four items here and You get even a better deal but it's just Something that I thought would have come With it and I think a lot of people Assumed it would too or at least they Should have at least made another Package version kit that does include The remote control now knockout wood I Haven't crashed it to a point where it Has broken anything yet I did hit a tree And it has some scuff marks here on the Side but that's the reason why DJI has Care refresh they have it with all their Other drones as well so if you do sign Up for care refresh which I do highly Recommend doing if you do crash your Drone and if you have carafresh which is A small upfront fee you're then able to Get a replacement drone covered at Another small processing fee and there

It is I just want to make this video More about the user experience of this Whole setup from my perspective if You're looking at getting into fpv this Is probably your easiest entry as far as An all-in-one package that you know is Reliable because on that DJI platform The transmission is Top Notch you're Going to see HD quality coming through Your goggles you have stabilized 4K 60 Frames a second video coming from the Drone and you have a couple ways of Flying whether it's going to be Something like the motion controller or The remote control different experience On both of these but at least you have That option if you guys haven't seen my First review video on the Avada make Sure you check the link above as well as Down Below in the video description as Always if you guys got some value from This video a big like would be much Appreciated this is ultra estacio with Flightpath.com I'll see you guys in the Next video take care
