This video is sponsored by adorama now With the release of the new dji mini 3 a Lot of people have been writing in my Comment section if i have the dji mini 2 Is it really worth the upgrade to the Mini 3. now when you put the specs side By side of these two drones right here Dji honestly knocked it out of the park With the mini 3 pro everything every Part of this drone is bumped up compared To the mini 2. however if you currently Own the dji mini 2 there are some things To think about of why you might not want To jump over right away to the mini 3. But before we go through that list a Quick word from today's sponsor adorama Handflows aren't familiar with adorama Adorama is one of the largest most Reputable online retail stores for all Of your electronics your camera gear Your lenses lighting equipment musical Instruments and drones just like the new Dji mini 3 pro so what i do like about Adorama is that not only do they sell The standard packages that you would Normally get from the manufacturer but For instance something like the dji mini 2 they have a bunch of other packages That can come with this sometimes they Include a bag a landing pad memory cards Different accessories that you normally Wouldn't get from the manufacturers but They'll include them in custom packages That only adorama offers now because the

Mini 3 is so new of course right now They only have these standard packages From dji but what's great is they also Sell things like the filter kits the Wide angle lens and some of the Accessories that dji also offers they Have it on their website as well so if You're looking at one of these two Drones make sure you check out adorama's Website the links will be down below in The video description so let's jump Right into it the first thing we'll talk About is actually why you might not want To upgrade to the mini 3 pro now the First reason is really based on the user Only you can really answer this question If it's really worth it for you if you Are actually using your drone enough now What does that really mean well i Normally talk about maximizing your gear So i always normally like to upgrade Your gear if there's one or two things That you feel like you need to upgrade To so the first thing you want to think About is am i actually using the dji Mini 2 enough that warrants an upgrade The next reason why you might want to Just keep the mini 2 is that there's Actually a few third-party apps out There that currently work with the mini 2 that have not been moved over or work Yet with the mini 3 pro if you're Currently using some of these Third-party apps just know that the

Support isn't there yet and it might not Be there on the mini 3 pro next is Budget now right now the dji mini 2 is Still going for about four to 500 Depending on what package you get now if You were to jump over to the mini 3 pro I would highly recommend going with Something like the dji rc package the rc Package with the mini three comes in About 909 dollars usd and of course if You're looking at getting the fly more Combo you're going to be tacking on a Couple hundred bucks on top of that so This kind of goes back to my first Reason is that extra five to six hundred Dollars justifiable if i already have a Pretty capable drone here with the mini Two all right so let's jump over now to What are the reasons why you might want To upgrade to the mini 3 pro let's first Talk about build quality actually the Mini 2 is pretty solid but i'm really Surprised that dji was able to make a Significantly bigger drone that actually Feels really good especially when you're Using the heavier battery and we'll talk About that but the drone completely new Design i really like what they've done With it and it's a lot bigger it's a lot Bigger platform in the air but does fold Down to about the same size as the mini Two next thing is probably one of the Most important things for a lot of Shooters out there the camera has been

Bumped up in all aspects on the mini 2 We do have a 1 over 2.3 inch sensor on The mini three pro we have a one over 1.3 inch cmos sensor when it comes down To aperture we have an f 2.8 on the mini 2 on the mini 3 pro we have an f 1.7 That larger aperture does let in a lot More light to that sensor so if you're Shooting in the sunrise sunset or at Night you're going to get better quality Out of the mini 3 pro continuing with The camera now talking about video you Have 4k 30 on the mini 2 on the mini 3 Pro you have 4k 60 and you also have 1080p at 120 frames a second let's Quickly jump to the remote controls the Rcn1 which is the standard remote Control is used on the mini 2 you can Also use this one on the mini 3. Although a lot of people have been Asking will this one work with the mini 2 will this work with the air 2s will it Work with the mavic 3. currently it only Works with the mini 3 i'm hoping and Assuming like a lot of other people that It will be compatible with some of the Other newer drones and that's just Something we'll just have to wait and See if dji releases a firmware update For us to use these with some of the Other drones the one thing i do like About the camera change on this new System is that if you do use filters it Was kind of wonky of how you would

Actually put the filter on you'd have to Put it on it would use these little Clips or clamps on the back that would Clip onto the vents they now updated the Front of the lens so this thing just Spins off really quickly and now you're Able to put on an nd filter on there Next upgrade that we'll talk about is Obstacle avoidance we do not have any Obstacle avoidance on the mini 2 the Only thing we do have here is the Downward sensors on the mini 3 now we Have tri-directional obstacle avoidance We have front sensors here we have back Sensors which are located at the front But pointing back and we also have the Bottom sensor the essentials bring us to The next point of why this is an upgrade Over the mini 2 is that we now have Focus track on the mini 3 pro that was One of the things a lot of people were Hoping we would get with the mini 2 the Ability to follow me with focus track to Use active track of course we don't have Those obstacle avoidance sensors so they Didn't include it here we have that now Here because we have the obstacle Avoidance we have focus track which Includes active track the ability to Follow you i have in-depth videos on Those focus track features so if you Guys want to see those i'll leave the Links down below in the video Description when it comes to intelligent

Flight modes the dji mini 2 does have Some basic ones it has panoramic for Photos and it also has quick shots the Mini 3 pro has those as well has the Panoramic modes as well as quick shots But they also include now master shots As well as hyperlapse considering these Smaller drones are targeted towards new Flyers having these intelligent flight Modes are definitely beneficial the mini 3 pro does have a few more compared to The mini 2. the one update i do like is That they added in the d cinelike color Profile a little flatter profile if you Do a little bit post processing on your Video we have that option here we do not Have that option on the mini 2. next is Hdr video which we do have on the mini 3 Pro on certain frame rates and Resolution we do not have the hdr Function here on the mini 2. next Upgrade we'll talk about is this right There you can see we have vertical Shooting now on the mini 3 pro of course With social media a lot of things are Being shot in vertical mode now if You're posting to things like reels tick Tock youtube shorts a lot of these are All focused on vertical video now if you Are coming from the mini 2 you know There are some limitations with the Camera and i'm sure you guys have Noticed this if you are in sport mode if You have that camera pointed down and

You try to move forward that camera will Kind of twitch up i know a lot of people Are looking at the design of the mini 3 Going in that's kind of funky that whole Notch but it's actually a huge deal when It comes to solving that issue that the Mini 2 had not only did they fix that Sport mode little twitch but you can Also point the camera up 60 degrees here On the mini 2 you're only able to point The camera up 20 degrees another change Between these two drones when it comes To transmission we have ocusync 2.0 on The mini 2. here on the mini 3 we have Ocusyncer 03 transmission on the mini 3 Pro and finally the one thing we'll talk About is probably for me the main reason Why you would want to move over besides All the other reasons i talked about is This right here we have a 34 minute Rated battery on the mini 3 pro on the Mini 2 you're rated for about 31 minutes But not just that dji is releasing a Higher capacity battery for the mini 3 That allows you to get up to 47 minutes Of flight time just crazy to think that With these small platforms you're able To get that much flight time now now Note that with the larger capacity Battery it's gonna push you over that 250 gram mark but like i said if you got The standard battery still rated for 34 Minutes you'll probably get around 27 28 29 actual flat time minutes and there it

Is guys if you are currently a mini 2 Owner hopefully this helped you out There's still some reasons like i talked About of why you might want to keep this And also a lot of reasons why you might Want to upgrade hopefully you guys got Some value from this video and if you Did a big like would be much appreciated Also don't forget to subscribe hit that Bell to be notified when i post new Videos you guys want a lot more content On both these drones the mini 2 as well As a dji mini 3 i'll have full playlist Down below in the video description this Is aldrin stasio with flightpath.com see You guys in the next video take care [Music] [Music] You
